Yes — finally.
A few months ago, I shared how painful and buggy the activation process had become. Especially when dealing with multiple air-gapped environments (ADBA/KMS), the long phone call with the activation bot was a nightmare…
But recently, while adding Windows Server keys through Active Directory-Based Activation (ADBA), I noticed something new — and awesome:
✅ After a brief call, you’re now offered an SMS with a link
✅ You complete the activation entirely in your browser
✅ No more back-and-forth with the voice bot
This change makes the process faster, simpler, and way less frustrating.
(Seriously, why wasn’t this here years ago?)
Props to Microsoft for improving the experience. If you deal with offline activations, you’ll love this update too.
